Note the comment "Isn't this fine." The view is from the hill above Watrous Street looking over the south end of town. The D. W. Watrous house is in about the center of the photo. The pond is in the area just south of what is now Walnut Street with Watrous Manufacturing Co. on the far side of the pond. In the background to the south or left side is the N. N. Hill plant. The train tracks can be seen running from the left side of the photo, with the train station in the background on the right. The hill where this photo was taken from is heavily forested now.
