Watrous Bell Toys

La vie est belle!

I have at least a dozen wooden stick toys by NN Hill and Watrous. Typical handles are 19" - 22" long. I really haven't found a creative way to display these. They don't look right if just mounted on a wall or sitting of a shelf. At this point, they're just sitting in a closet. Has anyone found a good way to keep these as a visible display within a household?

Don,

I know Richard Mueller has quite a few stick toys. He lined the ceiling of his hallway with them. It's quite impressive. I've yet to display mine. One way I would try is with a board (This could be the shelf also) drilled to accept a stiff wire like a hanger wire. The wire would get inserted into the hole and then go up to support the toy at the point where the stick attaches to the toy. The wire would be bent to provide a little cradle. The wheels would need a small block in front of them. This way quite a few toys could be lined up in their proper orientation with the sticks all up at the same angle.

Life is good, Bob
